Helping local youth be involved in sport

The HarbourCats Foundation is proud to support initiatives for encouraging youth in sport in the Greater Victoria and Nanaimo areas

In 2017, Richard Michaels, a passionate baseball enthusiast and a member of the Victoria Harbourcats baseball organization, had a vision of making a positive impact on the lives of young athletes in the community. Inspired by the success of the Victoria HarbourCats, a collegiate level summer baseball club competing in the West Coast League, Richard saw an opportunity to extend their reach beyond the field and create lasting change for local youth. Thus, the Victoria HarbourCats Foundation was born with goal: to help underprivileged youth participate in local baseball and softball.
