Grand Slam Giving Auction
June 24 - July 13
These items, carefully procured by the Foundation, are auctioned off to generate essential funds that help provide young individuals with opportunities they might not otherwise have. Through these fundraising efforts, the Foundation enhances access to sports, education, and community programs, ensuring that financial barriers do not stand in the way of a child’s potential.

At the heart of our mission is a commitment to community leadership. The Victoria HarbourCats Foundation 50/50 raffle is the backbone of our fundraising efforts, allowing us to empower local organizations across Greater Victoria and deepen their community outreach.
Our track record speaks for itself. In 2024, the foundation generated over $120,000 in ticket sales, awarding $60,000 to winners, with over $55,000 earmarked for upcoming youth initiatives and local partnerships. For 2026, our goal is to match and exceed our milestone of $150,000 in total sales, driving even more vital funding back into the community.
True to our roots, we proudly reinvest these funds to elevate local baseball and softball, breaking down barriers for athletes and backing grassroots events. Whether you are here to support the cause or partner with us, you are helping shape a better Victoria.

Helping local youth be involved in sport
The HarbourCats Foundation is proud to support initiatives for encouraging youth in sport in the Greater Victoria and Nanaimo areas
In 2017, Richard Michaels, a passionate baseball enthusiast and a member of the Victoria Harbourcats baseball organization, had a vision of making a positive impact on the lives of young athletes in the community. Inspired by the success of the Victoria HarbourCats, a collegiate level summer baseball club competing in the West Coast League, Richard saw an opportunity to extend their reach beyond the field and create lasting change for local youth. Thus, the Victoria HarbourCats Foundation was born with goal: to help break financial barriers that challenge youth participation in local baseball and softball.
